Product Warranty Terms and Conditions


Mako Limited Warranty

Arbiter warrants the Mako to be free from defects in materials and workmanship under normal use for a period of five (5) years from the date of manufacture. This warranty is provided solely to the original purchaser and is non-transferable.

Warranty Coverage

This warranty covers any defects or malfunctions resulting from defective parts or improper assembly. During the warranty period, Arbiter will, at its option, repair or replace the entire Mako or defective parts.

This warranty does not cover normal wear and tear, accidental damage, misuse, abuse, unauthorized repair, or modifications. Any Mako may be returned to Arbiter for a warranty claim according to the terms of the Returned Material Authorization Policy available at https://arbiterbackflow.com/policies/refund-policy. Judgment as to validity of warranty claims is ultimately up to the discretion of Arbiter.

Exclusions

This warranty does not cover:

  • Consumables (batteries, valves, filters, etc.)
  • Cosmetic damage (e.g., scratches, dents)
  • Damage due to improper storage, lack of maintenance, or negligence
  • Damage due to exposure to freezing temperatures

Arbiter Products (aside from Mako)

Arbiter warrants our products to be free from defects in materials and workmanship under normal use for a period of 90 days from the date of purchase. This warranty is provided solely to the original purchaser and is non-transferable.

Limitation of Liability

Arbiter shall not be liable for any incidental or consequential damage arising from the use or inability to use the tool, even if advised of the possibility of such damages. In no event shall the liability of Arbiter exceed the original trade price of the tool.

THIS WARRANTY GIVES YOU SPECIFIC LEGAL RIGHTS, AND YOU MAY HAVE OTHER RIGHTS THAT VARY FROM STATE TO STATE (OR BY COUNTRY OR PROVINCE). OTHER THAN AS PERMITTED BY LAW, ARBITER DOES NOT EXCLUDE, LIMIT OR SUSPEND OTHER RIGHTS YOU MAY HAVE, INCLUDING THOSE THAT MAY ARISE FROM THE NONCONFORMITY OF A SALES CONTRACT.
